MISSION:
The mission of the Dracut Food Pantry is to provide food assistance to Dracut residents who are struggling to put food on their table. We also serve anyone referred by Dracut clergy or the town Clerkâs Office. We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone can access healthy food choices without judgment.
The pantry offers help in other ways when needed including informing clients of other available resources and agencies within our community.
VOLUNTEERS / DONATE:
The Dracut Food Pantry has an incredible crew of volunteers who take their roles very seriously. We are always looking for volunteers and if you find that you are interested in volunteering, please contact us dracutcommunityfoodpantry@gmail.com, or leave a message on our pantry phone line 978-957-8600 and our volunteer coordinator will follow-up with you. Volunteers are to be no less than 18 years of age due to confidentiality of those attending. We do work with local schools to provide students with service hours for community service.
Volunteer opportunities include assisting clients with their shopping and choosing items, checking food items for expiration dates and sorting of inventory, recycling, and helping clients take their items to their vehicles.
Food Drives are always welcome. Every donated item helps. We have included a list of recommended non-perishable food items. We ask that you check the expiration dates of your donated items for we cannot offer expired food items.
Monetary donations are gratefully accepted to help us purchase additional food items that are needed to fill our inventory of food items. As mentioned earlier, we are a non-profit 501c(3) tax deductible and checks should be made out to the Dracut Community Food Pantry and mailed to the Dracut Food Pantry, 1934 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA 01826.
DRACUT
FOOD PANTRY
Dracut is a community with a history of taking care of its own in good times and in bad. The success of the Dracut Food Pantry is a testament to that care and compassion. Without the support of the many schools, businesses, organizations and individuals who have donated food items and monetary help for our neighbors in need, the Dracut Food Pantry would simply not exist. The struggle for those in need would be even greater. If you would like to help, here is a list of the most needed non-perishable food items you can donate. Please check the food expiration dates.
